Baling. As your scrap material comes into our recycling depot, it is unloaded, weighed and sorted/graded by our trained staff. All bulky items (copper tanks, aluminium sheet, zinc roofing sheet etc) are cut down to size and pressed/baled, this makes it easy to handle and transport to chosen smelters within the UK and Europe, or loaded into containers for shipments worldwide.
		Shearing. All alloy window partitioning/sections are cropped to max 2ft lengths, cutting out all delliotiours/foreign materials to make the required grade for the chosen smelter to make into ingots.
		Cable Striping. Most cables are cut to 4ft lengths and fed through one of our specially designed cable stripping machines, which remove the outer casings of steel armour and plastics to reveal pure copper (bright wire) beneath.
